Portland's tree canopy is one of the best things about this metro and one of the toughest things about fall lawn care. Big-leaf maple, oak, and sweetgum drop heavily over several weeks, and once wet leaves mat down on the grass, they block light and trap moisture right at soil level — exactly the conditions that invite fungal problems in a lawn that's already dealing with our wet winters.

Rather than one big cleanup at the end of the season, we schedule regular leaf-clearing visits through the heart of fall — timed to when your specific trees are actually dropping, not a fixed date. Debris is cleared from the lawn, beds, and hardscapes and hauled away, so the grass underneath keeps getting light and air right through the season instead of sitting under a wet blanket for weeks at a time.
